The fact its at 0% indicates that the driver which is installed by VMware tools is not installed. so the answer is correct.Thursday, April 16, 2015 4:37 PM UTdeibelhttp://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-306Is it just me or is anyone else thinking that there are several wrong questions in this dump? The good news is that the Martinez and 545 guides are sufficient to pass (I prefer the It's Me version since it breaks it up into smaller exams)- IF you know them very, very well. Others are correct, you cannot simply memorize the question and answer. Plenty of questions were worded the same, and plenty were not. There were many tricks.. new potential answers, reverse of some questions on the guides, different answer order, different working for the question and answers, etc. There are enough differences in my opinion to make you fail if you don't know the material well.

These guides are great for focusing on what to expect- my strong suggestion would be to review the question, and then go refer to VMware documentation to get the correct answer (some of the guide answers are wrong). That way you don't get sucked in to memorizing the guide's answer.

For reference, I had ZERO max config questions (I wasted sooo much time memorizing these) and only 2-3 questions that I had definitely never seen before. Looking back at these 2 guides, a good amount of questions came from both, so study both hard and you will pass.

Thanks to Martinez and the others who posted these guides!Sunday, April 12, 2015 4:40 PM UTVCP5-DCVhttp://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-311How many questions come out from the 151qaFriday, April 10, 2015 4:37 PM UTmirzahttp://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-312@ s90099a

The licenses are maintained at vcenter level but can also be assigned individually to ESX or ESXi host in 4.xFriday, April 10, 2015 1:34 PM UTPassedVCP5-DCV410http://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-313Everyone, i just passed the VCP5-DCV410 using this dump and the 500+ questions ItsMe dump, all the questions on the both dumps were on the exam!!! Something you didn't think about is that When you install ESX/i on the host (without a VC) you are prompted to either enter your license key or use the evaluation option..

Therefore C and D are both correctFriday, April 10, 2015 4:02 AM UTDCoolhttp://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-315@ s90099a - Answer C is correct for sure. The question states, choose 2 answers. So the next most closest answer is D. However lemme share some light ..

Given real life situations, organizations usually setup ESX first and create/test all the VMs. vCenter is an additional module which they might choose if they want to use all the distributed service features like vMotion, FT, etc.

What we need to also note is, ESX license is based on vSphere license key and vCenter license is a separate license key. Assuming your organization takes the 'Lets start with ESX host and then buy vCenter if everything goes well approach', then the license key for the host resides on the host. And when you decide to buy and install vCenter, the vCenter license key entered during installation process is stored in the vCenter DB. If you then decide to change the host from being a standalone to a managed host, you will add the host to the vCenter Server. During this process, you will have an option to specify your vSphere key again. So you may re-enter the key that you used on the host earlier when it was set up. Once the process is completed, the license gets pushed down to the ESX/ESXi host. So if vCenter were to go down the hosts will still continue to function indefinitely. vCenter is just used to administer and manage the licenses not to be the repository.

Based on this understanding, I will choose C and D as the answer. Cheers :)Thursday, April 09, 2015 6:16 PM UTs90099ahttp://www.examvce.com/vmware/VMware.Selfprep.VCP550D.v2015-20-1.by.Damayanti.246q.vce.html#comment-316Rene - but we can have vCenter 4.x installed with license input without having an ESX host. So answer D should in incorrect. The question is, where does this license for vCenter 4.x maintained? We do not use license file nor license server for vCenter 4.x too, so A and B should be incorrect too.
