any one can tell me the step for this question:

Simulation 1
You install 2003 on 2 servers name Server 1 and Server 2. You configure the servers as two-node server cluster named Cluster1: You configure a custom application named WebApplication1 on the cluster and you put all resouces in the Web App group. You need to perform maintenance on Serv.2 and discover that the Web App group fails to move Serv.1. You need to allow the Web App group to be moved to Serv. 1. You must accomplish this task using Cluster Admin. Console. Your operation must not affect other settings.

8) You are a network administrator for the company. You install windows server 2003 on two servers. You configure as a two node server cluster. you install WINS on each node of the cluster. You create a new virtual server to support WINS. You create a new cluster group named WINS group. When you attempt to create the network name resource, you receive an error message. you need to make the proper changes to the cluster to complete the installation of WINS.

I know someone answered this and helps with this question. i just need the steps

Valid for UK. Passed today 947. 10 sims, most listed below. Had extra sim about 2 DNS servers, one inside firewall, one outside. Sim opened to DNS console, just had to add forwarder to external DNS server. All sims were very straight forward, and they normally started with the relevent window open, so you just had to tick the appropriate boxes. Big thanks for Dave, I'm MCSE now.

how about the answer for this one?

You are the network administrator for your company. The network consists of a single ActiveDirectory domain named treyresearch.com. All client computers run Windows XP Professional. You are planning a public key infrastructure (PKI) for the company. You configure one Windows Server 2003 computer named Server1 as a root certification authority (CA). You configure a wireless network that requires IEEE 802.1x certificate-based authentication. Only two of the client computers are approved for wireless network access. You create a global group namedWirelessComputers that contains the approved computer accounts. You create a certificate template for IEEE 802.1x authentication named IEEE 802.1x Template. You need to enable the approved computers to access the wireless and configure the auto-enrollment for certificates based on the certificate template. You must accomplish these tasks by using the IEEE 802.1x Template Properties dialog box. Your operation must not affect other settings on Server1.

I did what was said earlier

Server -> Right-click -> Properties > Security tab -> Authentication methods
MS-CHAP - Supported natively by all OS 95 upwards
MS-CHAPv2 - Supported 2003/XP/2000, NT4 sp4, 98sp1, 95 with DUN 1.3 (VPN only).
Question does not state if sp1 is installed on 98, so would have to select EAP, MS-CHAPv2, MS-CHAP, deselect all others.

It was really simple since EAP was on already, so I just checked CHAPv2 and CHAP and left everything else empty.

Carlos,

can you share the answer for this

You have a Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP SP2 clients that need to connect to the server through VPN using the most secure authentication method. What should you do without using unnecessary options. (Routing and Remote Access manager properties is open by default.

passed today with 929 using this dump and description of sims here..

I had 45 total, 10 sims..

I got the wireless access point only sim, the "internet sharing" sim (it opens in RRAS console, set as NAT, check basic firewall), the certificate recovery one, the sales OU one, the NLB port filtering one, the VPN with Win98,2k, XP, the DNS forwarder one, Anjo #7, the WINSGroup one, and a new one

It was about setting up a IPSec connection between your site and a branch office that has a different domain. Not sure if I got it right but in the description it said "If you need to enter text type Authentication1", so I just setup a psk and used Authentication1 as the key..

kiwiboy, that reasonable answer..

I am still confuse with the question
On server1 you have two NICS. one NIC for Internet connection and the other for LAN connection. You have ten client computers on the LAN that need to access the internet through server1. What do you do? (Network Connections window open by default)

someone says the answer is ICS should be enabled at the LAN. even in CBT nuggets says like that. and also this book at the amazon (http://www.amazon.com/MCSE-Windows-Infrastructure-Planning-Maintenance/dp/0782144500/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1279275620&sr=8-8) that I bought last few years, says share the connected LAN. I've read this book. but the answer gets me confuse with my practical labs.

Jack, I would go for 255.255.248.0. 2000 hosts in binary is 0000 0111 1101 0000, giving you the top 5 bits for network mask. 1111 1000 = 248.
Possible networks = 30 (32-2)
Possible Hosts = 2046 (2048-2)

thanks kiwiboy. how about the answer to the question below:

Simulation 3
You are designing a LAN for a new branch office. You are assigned the 172.16.0.0/16 subnet for the new branch office. You are configuring a Wind. Serv.2003 server named Server1. Your manager instructs you to create as many as 16 subnets of 2000 hosts each on your new network. You need to correctly configure Server1 in this environment. You must accomplish this tasks by using the Server1's Network Connections console with the least amount of admin efforts. You must not effect other settings on server1

my possible answer. change the subnet mask to 255.255.240.0 or 255.255.224.0. correct me please..

4.You are a network administrator for your company. The network consists of a single Active Directory domain named treyresearch.com. All servers run Windows Server 2003. All client computers run Windows XP Professional. The company has two DNS servers named Server1 and Server2. Server1 hosts the primary DNS zone for treyresearch.com. Server2 provides name resolution for the external Internet name of the company on the Internet and is configured with root hints. Client computers are configured to use Server1 as their only DNS server. Users report that they cannot access Web sites on the Internet. You need to ensure that the client computers can access Internet-based sites. You must accomplish this task by using Server1's DNS console with the least amount of administrative effort. Your operation must not affect other settings on Server1.

my possible solution would either forwarder or add server2 as root hint in Server1.

still confuse the answer.

- my answer - I enable ICS at NIC connected to Internet (ADSL). am I correct? because I do some testing on sharing at LAN (internal network) does not work.

My suggestion for two of the answers. Sitting test in a few days.

5) You have a Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP SP2 clients that need to connect to the server through VPN using the most secure authentication method.
Server -> Right-click -> Properties > Security tab -> Authentication methods

7) Client computer have lease period for 30 days. But if you restart the computer it get new IP address. What you want to do to keep the same IP Address? ( DHCP Consle is open by default )
30 day lease would suggest BOOTP lease, as default DHCP lease is 8 days, need to change scope properties to DHCP.
Scope -> Right-click -> Properties -> Advanced. Select DHCP only, which is the normal default. Client will obtain IP address during windows startup as opposed to BIOS/POST setup.

The answer in the dump is Win 2003 server SP2 enterprise edition, is this correct? i'm sure that data centre supports 64Gb and Enterprise supports 32Gb?
