I took the exam on Friday. All Simms were valid. I got about 10 new questions but they were easy to figure out.

1st SIM: read scripts on Firewall, Router, Server, etc. They give you a simple diagram with the devices listed in it. When you click on the device the script will open up.



2nd SIM: open ports on a router: This is easy.
First Line: select the IP of the 1st computer in the first box, then the IP of the second computer in the 2nd, then HTTPS, then type the port no (443) then select TCP

2nd Line: select the IP of the 1st computer in the first box, then the IP of the second computer in the 2nd box, then SCP, then type the port no (22) then select TCP

3rd Line: (here it is one computer that will be connecting to 2x servers in the secure network so you will use line 3 and 4 for this computer)
select the IP of this computer in the first box, then the IP of the 1st server in secure network in the 2nd box, then TFTP, then type the port no (69) then select UDP

4th Line: (here it is the same computer then in line 3 - this computer will be connecting to the 2nd server in the secure network)
select the IP of this computer in the first box, then the IP of the 2nd server in secure network in the 2nd box, then TFTP, then type the port no (69) then select UDP


3rd SIM: How to secure a Mobile device and a server:
Mobile device: Device encryption, Remote wipe, Strong security
Server: Anti-Virus, Man traps


4th Sim: it is a SMURF ATTACK

Sim 5: Configure a WAP in most secure manner: Disable SSID broadcast, select WPA2 with AES (check key length), create a password, allocate an ip to one of the machines, change channel away from channel 1,

dump is still valid. looked over all questions and answers for 3 days and once right before the test. scored 809 in 27 minutes 7/20/13. 7 sims in the beginning 70 total questions.

Yes you right they incorporate ACLs, OSPF and EIGRP. I recommend practice and learn from this site http://www.danscourses.com/ I was working with this video about 3 months and used CCNA dump to passed my CCNA. I also took CCNA class at school too but doesn't help me alot because class go so fast.

Ton..the 3 Sims that is in this dump (though I never got to practice them were exact to the exam. I had 9 total on the actual exam. Two or three were to deny permit traffic based on IP address and port numbers. If you passed CCNA you got this. I took
CCNA in school buy never certified. Do you recomend the dump for CCNA. Did they incorporate ACLS with OSPF or EIGRIP? I promise if you get CCNA you got the security plus

@Jesse Thank you!!!! PASSSED TODAY!!!! There was a total of 70 questions. I had 9 Sims. The test had 8 questions not in this dump. If the CCNA dump is a good as this one I am going to take it too :) (NOTE: If you are planning to take CCNA take it before Sept. they are changing the test) Thanks again everyone who commented and made this dump possible!!!! There was really on one hard sim. Know your port numbers and study this dump!!!! You will pass!

@Jesse Thanks Bro, I studied the All in One Study Guide by Greg White and it had two diff practice test. I am making 1000/1000 on this dump a few more and the questions from the book.not going to put it off anymore. Setting up my test for the am! Wish me Luck!

@mystebby Hey man, this Dump is quite good and will give you probably 50-55 of the questions and most of the sims.

Personally I would recommend you do some of the readings however, *CompTIA CompTIA security+ Certification Exam: Get Certified Get Ahead: SY0-401 Study Guide by Darril Gibson* was a book I used, it has a pre-book and post book test as well as chapter tests that can make sure you know your stuff, it probably works out to about 400 questions (11 chapters at between 22-26 questions per chapter and the pre and post book tests are 100 each).

If you are constantly getting a 95% or so on that And this dump then you are prepared for this test, that's what I had before going in on the 17th and getting 870/900

Hey guys, I went today and did the Test. I passed with an 870. There were 70 questions with 7 sims, the sims were mostly as described (I had one different but it was very common sense).

There were about 15 questions that were not in this dump, of those 15, 11 were easy to figure out. Massive thanks to you all for your help and support. gl to the rest of you!

Hello All, I'd like to thank "AnonTester" whoever He/She is. And I'd also like to thank all the people who have contributed to the dump and this website. I passed my CompTIA CompTIA security+ Certification Exam (SY0-401) exam last week and scored 838.

I would not worry about the Simulation questions as I believe they don't seem to count towards your final score, however that doesn't mean that you should not attempt them! Give them a go! You'll learn something new from them. This dump is valid for now, but I had around 12 new questions, some were common sense and others were completely new, so please be aware of that. Ton - the simulations aren't important but have a crack at them and memorise these then.

1. Check the logs of (Firewall, IPS, Router, Server) and find which of these failed in most secure manner.
2. Different types of attacks (Whaling, Vishing, Hoax, Phishing, Spam)
3. Wireless router (WAP) IP tables configuation - You will get need to use the Source IP address, Destination IP address, Port Number based on the protocol that they specify, Protocol type (TCP or UDP), Allow/Deny
For me, 4 rows were required to filled and all were to Allow, HTTPS port 443 (TCP)0, SCP port 22 (TCP), TFTP 69 (UDP)
4. Security smart phone versus security server in data center
Smart phone: GPS tracking, device encryption, Password lock, complex password
Server in Data Center: mantrap, antivirus, cable lock and a few more
5. Configure most WAP in most secure manner: Disable SSID broadcast, select WPA2 with AES, create a password, allocate an ip to one of the machines
6. Ping attack simulation = Smurf Attack
7. Arrange in order how a forensic expert will preserve evidence: Cache, RAM, Swap, Hard Drive

Took the CompTIA security+ Certification Exam SY0-401 exam today. 95% of the questions were in this. I didn't concentrate on the simulations, just chose random ips in different fields etc as it seems they do not count. I took 20 minutes to complete the entire exam with an 860/900 mark. I also recommend Professor Messor videos on youtube.

At least one is Digital signatures - They provide both Authentication & Integrity. Dump only lists Integrity. Not sure why others do not list the errors, but it helps us all.

I passed Exam today with 814, but guys Exam is changed a bit, i got 70 questions and 6,7 sim . 3 Sims were known 4 were totallu unknown almost 18-20 questions were not in this dump, so you should be very careful while answering other wise you will fail. exam is very tricky now

Passed with only studying this. The test has changed somewhat though so if you're not finding this testprep exam to be mostly common sense you'll probably fail. Not being a jerk but if you're a poser stacking acronyms in your email sig you're not going to make it. Got a couple of the listed SIMS and 5 others I had not seen before. I'd say 33% or so of the non-SIM questions I got were not in this prep. I should mention that three of the questions in this exam have incorrect answers and all three of those were on my exam. If you aren't a poser though, you'll do fine. This prep will serve as a good checkpoint for you.

If you are reading this then you must be looking for a valid dump. guess what this is the valid dump, just 3 days of study from this and I passed the test today with 870. 2 of the 7 sims that I got are in this test. Although the sims arent included in this dump if you skim through the book I mentioned you can zip through those pretty easily.

This dump has 90% of the material, WORD FOR WORD. All of the simulations were at the beginning, and matched the ones on this dump EXACTLY.
