I just took the exam today and passed!!! There were only 5 to 6 questions relevant to this dump and I have to say in order to you to really pass this test, you have to know the concepts!!

I'm a bit confused. Is the PDF you're all passing around the new and improved questions not posted on this site yet? I ask because GLH states:
"OK, I sent the .pdf to everyone. If I missed someone, please let me know. Like I said, it's the same as what is already posted."
I would assume the PDF being passed is the current question index since everyone is jumping to get it, but I'd like to be sure before beginning to "study" old material.

I did talk to a rep at ActualTests today. She said that the only changes made to this test are spelling errors. They are working on updating the test, but not sure when it will be done. She said I just have to keep checking back for an update.

Hey, guys/gals,
Last night I spent the $149 at ActualTests and downloaded what they said was the latest test. Unfortunately, it is word-for-word the exact same test as the one posted here. Don't waste your money if you planned on purchasing it. I was going to take the test on Thursday, but I have rescheduled because I am worried about it. I will keep checking their website to see if their is an update and I have also sent them an email.
If anyone else has an updated version unllike the one already posted here, we would definitely appreciate it if you could post it for us. Also, if you have recently taken the test, can you post some of the questions you remember and I will compare with what I have?
For some reason, I can't get it formatted to vce, so I only have the .pdf. If anyone would like a copy of the .pdf, I hate to ask that you put your email address out here, but I can send it to you that way. Maybe someone else will be able to format it to vce and post it.

I passed today 855/900. These and other practice questions helped but were not more than 10 or so questions. The important thing is to know the fundamentals. Here's what I did:

Took the 50-hr vte.cert.org Carnegy-Mellon online CBT
Got lucky and was hooked up with about 20-hours of CompTIA security+ Certification Exam class work from a really great instructor. The class time was probably some of the best value added to help cement many of the concepts and add some tools to understanding the material. The training was free to me through my job.

Looked for and reviewed as many practice questions as I could. When I didn't understand something I would do a search on the material and read more about it.

If I were to do it over again I would add more detail to some of the wireless stuff. Different methods of WPA such as PSK or Enterprise weren't as strong as they could be. Also RDP was a little mucky for me so I probably messed up some on that. I also realized that some concepts that I had firmly under control such as Chain of Custody was a bit off or I just got tripped up on the wording.

I wonder if the new 293 question update is the same as the previous one that also had 293 questions? In reviewing the texasfirefighter blog on 10 Feb, only 10-15 questions mirrored the previous Actual Test which I believe was terminated last week. The new dated Feb 11/12 Actual Test may have the new updated questions. If someone has the new copy I can actually match it up to see how much it has changed.

Hi, I pass the test yesterday 2/12/201, 836 Pearson VUE. this dump is no valid word by word but some question did came out other one where similar so if you know the concepts you should be able to pass. good luck.

a few things I remember :

2 questions about trying to send email or get a "SPECIFIC " company CEO
or big boss. the answer Whaling.

1 qustion about a usb in the parking lot label ****** Music
social ingeneering or whaling " i dont really remember sorry".

1 about wish of wish have te least availability

I am taking the test on Thursday and am a bit nervous about it. I just finished taking the CISSP exam about 2 weeks ago. I am waiting on the results, but don't feel like I did very well. I registered for this exam as a back-up because my job requires that I at least have this certification.
I was hoping that there was a current dump that someone could provide. Does anyone have one or do you know where to get it?

Another good study tool was mentioned in another post. It's from the CompTIA SY0-201 exam:
CompTIA ActualTests SY0-201 v2014-09-06 by JC 450q.vce

It has descriptive reasons for most of the answers & will still help you get down the basics that will also be in SY0-401.

I believe it is the same. On ActualTests it lists it as v2014-01-04, so I posted it to show that another company has the same version. I am assuming that this version is alive and well. I will be taking the test at the end of this month.
